Painting work in the house

Good interior paintwork is beautiful to look at, but it also provides the necessary protection for your home. Here are some notes and considerations for any interior paintwork:

  • Good vapor-tight paintwork on the inside of your home prevents water vapor from being absorbed by the wood.
  • The quality of the interior painting also partly determines the lifespan of the wooden (exterior) frame or sheet material.
  • Good interior painting provides protection against wear and tear (stairs).
  • Good interior painting provides protection against moisture.
  • Good interior painting provides protection against mold.

Good painting work

In principle, you can see and assess all the paintwork in the house. This includes all window frames, interior doors, any staircase paintwork, and all other paintwork such as ceilings and walls. If this paintwork is generally in good condition, no maintenance is necessary in the short or medium term. Any personal tastes and color schemes or combinations should, of course, be disregarded.

Mediocre painting

You can generally see and assess all the paintwork in the house. This includes all window frames, interior doors, any staircase paintwork, and all other paintwork such as ceilings and walls. If this paintwork is in moderate condition, maintenance is necessary. We recommend a minor service (sanding and a single coat of paint). Any personal tastes and color schemes or combinations should, of course, be disregarded.

The paintwork on the interior of the exterior window frames is important to critically assess. If it is in poor condition, maintenance is necessary; we recommend a minor service (sanding and a single coat of paint). Poor paintwork on the exterior window frames (on the interior) also affects the overall condition of the frames and even the exterior paintwork. It is important that the paintwork on both sides of the exterior window frames is in good condition, both inside and outside the house.

Bad painting

If the paintwork in the house, as mentioned above, is in averagely poor condition, maintenance is necessary immediately. We recommend a major overhaul (sanding twice and applying a topcoat twice). Any personal tastes and color schemes or combinations should, of course, be disregarded.
