Structural survey of house

Before buying a house, it's always wise to have a structural survey conducted and a building report prepared based on the results. You can, of course, do this yourself, but a professional will know what to look for.

Thanks to our nationwide network, we can offer you a building inspector from a research agency on-site to conduct a professional inspection, acting as a real estate doctor. This will quickly reveal whether your new home has any visible or hidden defects. You can schedule an appointment right away. We operate from Drenthe to Flevoland and from Friesland to Gelderland.

Structural survey of your new home

If you're planning to buy your first home, a building inspection is certainly a must. Whether it's a brand new house, a house only 10 years old, a house over 30 years old, or a listed building, every construction period has its own specific risks. Let's take the construction period between 1930 and 1995 as an example. Little attention was paid to soundproofing during that period. Noise pollution can cause many problems, but fortunately, there's a lot that can be done about it these days. During a building inspection, an inspector from a building consultancy will determine the noise level of an inspection house and, if necessary, propose solutions.

Having a building survey done before buying can prevent many problems, but it can also strengthen your negotiating position. If the survey reveals that you'll face repair or renovation costs, you can start with a lower opening offer. However, if there are defects in the house that will entail significant costs, you might still be able to back out of the purchase. Think, for example, of a significant roof leak or a crack in a load-bearing wall. A building survey is therefore always a good idea. Inspectors work throughout the country, from Groningen to North Brabant and from North Holland to Overijssel.

Specialist construction research for additional certainty

Do you really want certainty? Then we advise you to engage an expert for a specialized structural survey. The biggest fear of people buying a house is hidden defects. Are they there or not? A structural survey often reveals even hidden defects. This can save you a lot of money. The survey gives you a good idea of what needs to be done to a house. Some defects are easy to fix, but you may also need to repair things that can be very expensive.

The structural survey will help you make the right decision. Ultimately, you decide whether to buy the house. After the inspection, you'll receive the report digitally, and the results will also be available online .
