Construction or building technical inspection

Want to know more about a building inspection or a building survey? Then read on. This page provides a clear explanation of everything related to building inspections. We'll explain what it is, the processes you can expect when requesting one, and the applicable fees. We'll also explain what you get in return and how to register.

What exactly is a building inspection? Let's start with that. The purpose of a building inspection is to gain insight into the structural condition of a home or building. The inspection is conducted by an independent party and examines a wide range of aspects, such as the foundation, crawl space, woodwork, and the condition of the plumbing fixtures. The building inspector documents their findings in a clear report, which is shared with the client.

The person who commissions the building inspector is almost always someone who is about to buy a house. Based on the report, this person can make a well-informed decision about whether or not to buy the house in question.

Why a building inspection?

But is it really necessary? Such a building/structural inspection? A question that's regularly (and rightly) asked. Our answer is clear: Buying a house is a major purchase. Too often, we've met people who deeply regretted not having an inspection performed and discovered hidden defects after the purchase, with all the attendant financial consequences. So choose certainty and enjoy the benefits of the expertise of our inspectors, who can provide an honest and objective assessment of the condition of the property in question. Including any potential hidden defects. It's a huge win! Peace of mind when everything turns out to be in order. And a good tool for making a well-informed decision if the condition of the property is less than expected.
