Interior frames & doors

Interior window frames and doors seem to function normally, but minor defects often only come to light during a building inspection.

Hinges & locks

You can check the hinges and locks of interior doors and frames, as well as the opening and closing of doors and windows, based on a random sample or as a whole. Regular maintenance is also an annual requirement for door fittings and hinges. For minor defects, minor work, improvements, or repairs can be carried out in addition to regular maintenance. Parts can be replaced where necessary.

Comments on interior frames and doors

  • Doors can stick or not close properly. In most cases, doors that don't close properly can be adjusted; in the worst case, they may need to be planed.
  • Mechanical damage is usually repairable. After the damage is repaired, painting can be carried out, and the entire structure can function properly again.
  • Sometimes one or more interior doors are missing. Because this can also be a conscious choice, it's not considered a defect, but it's still useful to know.
  • The glazing may be missing or may need to be replaced due to breakage or a defect.
  • For more significant defects, replacing one or more doors may be necessary. After replacement, painting can be carried out, and the entire structure can function properly again.
