A building inspection is performed by an expert who assesses the structural condition of a house. This includes examining the walls, the structure, the condition of the wood, the hardware, and so on. The expert gathers all the data about the house and compiles it into a report. This building inspection report allows you to make a well-informed decision about whether or not to purchase the property. If the house appears to be in good condition, the decision is easy. If the expert finds any defects, carefully consider the costs and consequences of resolving them. In short, a building inspection will ensure you avoid any unpleasant surprises.

Costs of a Building Inspection

It's now clear what a building inspection is and what it will cost you. But of course, you'd also like to know how much it will cost. Homekeur BV charges €489 for a building inspection, including the delivery of a building report. This fee includes VAT.

Of course, we do have some conditions attached to this price of €489 including VAT for a building inspection. Let's go through them step by step.

  • The price of €489 for carrying out a building inspection is for homes with a volume of up to 1000m3.
  • Is the property in question larger than 1000m³? Then we charge a surcharge of €0.65 (including VAT) per square meter.
  • We're not fussy about canceling an order. If you cancel 24 hours in advance (working days), we won't charge any fees.
  • If you cancel your order on the day of the appointment, we will be forced to charge you the full fee. We will, however, offer a €150 discount on future orders.
  • The stated rate applies to one residence, i.e., one house number.
  • Furthermore, our general terms and conditions apply. You can find them via this link .
  • We inspect roofs and crawl spaces according to the conditions set out in our general terms and conditions (see link above). Naturally, the inspector must be able to assess the situation on-site as safe.
