Structural survey of a house
Structural survey of a house
Buying or selling a home isn't an everyday occurrence for most people. What are some things you should pay attention to or consider? The results of a building inspection provide clarity.
We have an extensive, nationwide network of local inspectors who can perform independent building inspections for you, from Drenthe to Flevoland and from Friesland to Gelderland. This way, you'll obtain the information you need. Besides providing insight into the current condition of your home, the inspection will also clarify what maintenance costs you can expect now and in the future.

The results of a structural survey provide valuable information. This information can be very useful. For example, if you're considering buying a house, you'll want to know if it's in good condition. Are there any defects? Think of cracks in walls, longhorn beetles, asbestos, woodworm, leaks, or creaking floors. Some defects are immediately visible, but others are invisible.
In the latter case, we're talking about hidden defects . While a building inspection doesn't rule out hidden defects, you have at least fulfilled your obligation to investigate. This obligation to investigate is particularly important legally if you encounter problems or hidden defects after the purchase. If you haven't investigated yourself, or haven't documented this in writing, it's often difficult to recover damages.
Construction research is also important for the selling party
A building inspection is also important when selling your home. As the seller, you are legally obligated to properly inform the buyer about the structural condition of your home. You can contact one of our experts for this.
Cost estimate of any defects
The building inspection involves an assessment of many elements. Consider, for example, asbestos, technical installations, the condition of floors, walls, and roofs, fire safety, and many other aspects. The report includes a cost estimate for any deficiencies, including immediate costs, future costs, and improvement costs. This provides you with a reliable report recognized by the Dutch National Mortgage Guarantee (NHG) and the Dutch Homeowners Guarantee Fund (Stichting Waarborgfonds Eigen Woningen).
