Video building inspection

We experience a lot during a building inspection. Be sure to visit our YouTube channel for all the videos. Below are some of the best videos we've made recently.

In the video below, we'll go into the crawl space during a building inspection, checking the floors, floor joists, ventilation, moisture, and any other relevant issues. We'll also check the sewer system, soil structure, and the presence of asbestos. We'll also examine the joists for brown rot, and be on the lookout for dry rot or cellar fungus.

In the video below, we inspect the outbuilding during a structural inspection. The concrete roof slab caught our attention, as we'd already noticed from the first-floor window that other sheds were already fitted with bitumen roofing. The risk with such roofs is prolonged moisture exposure, which will cause the existing reinforcement to rust and damage the roof.

In the video below, we'll inspect a balcony. Pay particular attention to the tiled floors, railings, concrete damage, and safety. Because moisture can get under the tiles and penetrate the concrete structure, this can cause rust on the reinforcement and concrete damage.

In the video below, we'll be conducting an asbestos inventory. All Homekeur inspectors are regularly trained and are alert to the presence of suspected asbestos-containing materials during purchase or sales inspections.

In the video below, we demonstrate how we prepare for an inspection. We prefer to arrive on-site early so we can identify or eliminate a significant number of risks based on various indicators on the exterior facade. Assessing and inspecting a property requires extreme concentration, and alertness is essential. Both buyers and sellers have (conflicting) interests in the final result.
