Why a structural inspection at Homekeur costs €549 starting October 1st

As of October 1, 2026, the price of a structural inspection at Homekeur will be €549, including VAT.

A price change we are implementing deliberately. Not because we want to be the cheapest – on the contrary. We want to provide the best structural inspection we can.

A structural inspection should not be a rushed job

Buying a home is one of the biggest financial decisions of most people's lives. We therefore find it strange if people have to save as much as possible on the structural inspection specifically.

A good structural inspection takes time.

Time not only to walk through a home, but to actually look. To assess cracking, identify moisture problems, thoroughly inspect the roof and facades, and carefully include installations, crawl spaces, and other accessible building components.

And at least as important: time to clearly document the findings in a report that is truly useful to a buyer.

We want to be able to continue giving our inspectors that time.

Not the cheapest, but committed to quality to the maximum.

There are building inspections available in the Netherlands for significantly lower amounts. We do not have the ambition to compete with them.

Because at some point, being cheaper stops being efficient and starts coming at the expense of time, attention, and quality.

Homekeur is consciously choosing a different direction.

We continuously invest in the knowledge of our inspectors, internal quality controls, training, better equipment, and further improvement of our reports.

Our inspectors should not be judged on how quickly they can get to the next property. They must be given the space to do their job well.

A report must be more than a checklist

The work does not stop after the inspection either.

In the coming period, we will continue to invest in our reports. We want a client not only to read that a defect has been found somewhere, but also to understand what this means, how urgent it is, and what costs need to be taken into account.

Ultimately, a structural report should help in making a better decision about a home.

That requires clear photos, good explanations, realistic cost estimates, and above all, structural knowledge.

Quality costs money – but defects often much more

€549 is a serious amount. We are fully aware of that.

At the same time, a structural inspection concerns a purchase often worth several hundred thousand euros. A defect in a roof, foundation, facade, floor, or structure can easily cost thousands to tens of thousands of euros.

That is precisely why we believe that a structural inspection should not be the part of the purchasing process where quality is traded for the lowest price.

We choose to continue investing in better inspectors, better checks, better reports, and sufficient time per home.

Perhaps this does not make us the cheapest structural inspector in the Netherlands. That is not our goal either.

Our goal is that after a structural inspection by Homekeur, you know as much as possible where you stand.

And we continue to invest in that every day.
